Elite Optimus Prime Auto-converting Robot

I love how it transforms and that I can control it via app or by vocal command

I bought this as a gift for my husband's birthday, because he has always loved Transformers. Optimus absolutely amazed us with all that he can do - with even more downloadable from the website. He sounds just like the character and transforms smoothly from robot to vehicle and back again either withverbal commands or with the phone app. I would truly recommend him for any Transformers enthusiast!

My son received this from Santa this past Christmas, he has enjoyed every second of it as so have I!

Enjoy playing with this actual transforming Optimus Prime with my daughter. I have passed down my original G1 Optimus Prime and she is a huge fan. We enjoy having the Elite Optimus Prime in our collection.

It's fun to play with and it does some really neat preprogrammed moves but there are some really annoying things with this that are a deal breaker and that could have easily been fixed.
My biggest issue is that when it's about to run out of power it says " energon running low" and then immediately, and I mean immediately, Falls over. The thing is pretty fragile so this usually results in a piece breaking. A simple line of code change to say 5 seconds, or 10, or even a couple minutes warning instead of a split second's warning could at least save you some damage to the robot, give at least enough time to run over to the thing and lie it down. You only get 30 days to return it so consider this when you use it. If you're going to keep it, get a timer.
My other complaint, though minor, is that it can't do the preprogrammed moves you see in the promo videos. I assume these are locked in the app or something. It just makes for a disappointing first day when the robot can't do what they advertised. Clearly its possible, why wouldn't those moves come programmed into the app. Their marketing person is an idiot. Again, some simple updates would fix a lot on this product.
Until then, I'm sending mine back, its just too easy to break it when it collapses without a second's warning.
